Wedding Invitation Ideas Bridal StationeryWhen you select your wedding invitation style you set the theme and tone for your wedding. You're announcing to your friends and family that you want them to celebrate your marriage and hope they can be there to share in your joyful day. Selecting a wedding invitation lets you be expressive and creative. Your personality as a couple should come across in the style and colors you use for your invitations, and it will also let your guests know the type of wedding party you're planning - right down to the appropriate clothing styles. Designer Wedding Invitations and Wedding Stationery Colors and photos or pictures are very popular trends on modern wedding invitations, response cards and thank-you notes today. Your wedding theme colors should be part of the invitation design scheme - it's not the rule anymore that wedding invites are engraved black lettering on white or ivory cards so let your theme colors and style carry through to your wedding invitations.
Matching Postage Stamps If you're planning a themed wedding, your invitations are you first opportunity to share your theme with guests. You'll want to match or coordinate your wedding favors and decorations to the invitation cards, and you might also want to use specially designed postage stamps. You can select US custom postage to match your invitations or design your own stamps. You can personalize your postage stamps to include a photograph of you and your partner and add a text message to the design. Save the Date Cards Save the dates are usually sent out about 6 months in advance of the wedding so guests can reserve your wedding date and hotel accomodations if the need them. Save the date cards should use your wedding invitation theme and color plan but they can be a bit less formal than your actual invites. You can get creative with save the date cards and even make them into favors. Send postcards with magnets attached that include the wedding ceremoney date and a photo, or just send the magnet itself as the save the date memento in a clever envelope with special postage stamps. You're not limited to flat cards for wedding invitations. If you like to be creative and you're planning a casual or theme wedding, go for the unusual with your invites. For a beach wedding you could create scrolls on parchment paper rolled up and inserted into small bottles with cork stoppers. You'll need to mail those in a small box. Perhaps you can include a bit of sand or a shell along with the invite and bottle. Response Cards - RSVP Your response cards will need matching envelopes or you can use post cards. To save money and time you can choose to request RSVPs by email. If you create a wedding web site you might include an RSVP page as part of the design. Thank You Cards Don't forget to order thank you cards to coordinate with your other wedding stationery when you place the order for your save the date cards, wedding invitations and response cards. Be sure to order extra wedding postage stamps or design a special Thank You stamp for these very important wedding cards, too. |
