Save the Date Cards

Save the dates are usually sent out about 6 months in advance of the wedding so guests can reserve your wedding date and hotel accomodations if the need them.

Save the date cards should use your wedding invitation theme and color plan but they can be a bit less formal than your actual invites. You can get creative with save the date cards and even make them into favors. Send postcards with magnets attached that include the wedding ceremoney date and a photo, or just send the magnet itself as the save the date memento in a clever envelope with special postage stamps.

You're not limited to flat cards for wedding invitations. If you like to be creative and you're planning a casual or theme wedding, go for the unusual with your invites.
